All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Rex's total contract is more than all previous headcoaches

Rex's total contract salary is more than all previous head coaches the Bills have employed combined during the playoff drought. I just thought that it shows an incredible level of commitment not seen in our area for a very long time, quite impressive.
$27.5 mil over 15 years works out to be an average of $1.83 mil per year. Now if you figure in the $4 mil we paid Marrone for leaving, plus we have to pay the remaining salary of all of the coaches who we've fired over the last 15 years...which is all of them (except Mularkey who quit)...this claim turns out to be bogus pretty quick.
I don't know why anyone would claim such a ridiculous nugget of information that is so easily proven wrong.

I think he just phrased his excitement improperly. He should've showed the salaries of our previous coaches, and then shown that we're paying Rex $5.5 mil per year. That salary probably blows away the salaries that Jauron, Gailey, etc had. That would show the 'level of commitment' that he is trying to show that the Bills have.
Although what we're committing to is certainly still in question. As of right now, it's easy to say that we're committed to paying our head coach a competitive NFL salary. That's all we know for sure right now though.
