I don't think there's a rebuild at all. As long as Julien is our coach we have an identity. We need to unload a few big contracts (hopefully Rask) but even still we'll be OK. I think PC should've gotten the chance to right the ship but obviously Cam didn't like whatever direction Chiarelli wanted to take them.

I don't disagree. But only because they botched the return. They didn't have much of a choice when they traded Seguin he was acting like Justin Bieber on ice. But this is likely the move that got Chiarelli fired. Chara is on the decline as well. His size and reach are really all he has left. The Sequin trade really made Chiarelli look like a buffoon ( but honestly, who knew at the time? ) But Rask 7 mil a yr until 2021? Chara 6.5 mil until 2022? Savard 4 mil until 2017......that's why he's out of a job....too many expensive contracts to aging guys or guys that simply shouldn't command that money. Boston will be in a tough spot for a couple yrs I think until it can start shedding some of these contracts.
Rumor also has it Lucic may be on the block.
