yeah, 5 out of 6. At least most of the trips are relatively close-by and in the same time zone, except for Kansas City.

But there will be only TWO home games at the Ralph in well over two months, and that's pretty ****ed up.

5 of the last 8 games are on the road but we do finish the season with 2 home games which is a big advantage in December.

Not to mention starting the season with 2 home games...

WIN THE EARLY HOME GAMES AND THEY WILL BE IN GOOD SHAPE

If you break the season into quarters, it's really not that bad.

1st Quarter - 3 Home, 1 Away
2nd Quarter - 2 Home, 2 Away
3rd Quarter - 1 Home, 3 Away
4th Quarter - 2 Home, 2 Away

So yeah, the way our away games line up toward the end of the year isn't favorable, but I'm so sick of excuses. Have you ever heard a team blame the schedule for why they didn't make the playoffs? Nope, it's just the fans that do that. I don't care if we have 8 home games followed by 8 road games, just go live up to these lofty expectations that you've set for yourselves.

the coming off rest thing is a real complaint imo but i think we are 3/3 on that this season so thats fine. these home/away patterns are almost meaningless, especially since december has two home games which is somewhat unusual since they usually like to avoid december home games for attendance purposes (which shouldnt be a problem this season). so yeah the sched looks fine to me

if they are a legit team like they say they are then they need to win those first two home games. that would set the rest of the season up nicely, at least advantageously

This is just another example of how statistics can be used to color the real truth.

The reality is the two away games in the 4th Quarter come before the two home games & the Bills play 3 away games in a row in the 3rd Quarter, followed by one home game.

So reality:

AWAY
AWAY
AWAY

Well yeah, that's what I meant when I said that the away games don't line up favorably.

It's still a piss poor excuse to use.

Nobody is using it as an excuse.

It is just piss poor scheduling IMO.

There will be a stretch of five weeks in a row I don't watch the games with my friends because of the schedule.

Starts with the Jags game at 9:30 AM live stream only, I will watch that game at home on my Fios high speed internet.

Then bye week, followed by the Fins which I will watch at home on local TV, then two night games in a row which I will watch at home or the local sports bar.

I guess this is a valid reason for you personally to be upset about the schedule, but what are you gonna do? **** happens.

So it's bad scheduling for the reason of out of town fans not being able to party.

Got it .

For us locals, it's 1pm Sunday games. Great for folks like me that have seasons.

Put in my vacation days around the 2 prime time games.

I remember years when our 1st 4 games were at home. Seen many other so-called unbalanced schedules.

We have talent. Shut up and play.

I like the 1:00 PM games myself.

I have no complaints about them at all & would be happy if every game was 1:00 PM on Sunday.

And locals are affected by the schedule as much as I am except for the London game which will be on OTA TV in Buffalo, but still at 9:00 AM.

Patriots have 5 out of their last 8 games on the road.

As much as I'd like to see the Bills on national TV, having 5 prime time games is nuts.

A week 4 bye. The Patriots have a lot of difficult road games.

It's snowing in late April. Old Man Winter has so overstayed his welcome.

Speaking of snow, those home games vs. the Texans, Cowboys, and Jets are all in December and early January.

So basically your season is over after week 8 and the last 2 weeks of the season your friends get to tell you, "there's always next year".

Well, I would hope that is not the case this year.

And I don't expect it to be unless there are injuries to important players.

I don't think cold is, but wind & field condition due to the weather could be an advantage to the Bills.

Especially in the Cowboys game.

isn't this requested by the bills? in brandon's infinite wisdom, he found that selling out games for bad bills teams was easier to do early in the season. So that is how they manufactured sellouts with below average teams.

i think if the bills rebuild is for real, they may ask for more favorable returns going forward because they are attempting to put a good team together. and good teams sell out no matter what. the issue before was that the bills didn't want a good team. they wanted a cheap upfront roster and hope that the wins came.

kind of shows you how brandon's previous experience doesn't really have alot of applicability in the new bills environment.

Ralph & Brandon preferred the 1:00 PM games over late games because they thought it would be easier for fans to travel to the Ralph for the game.

And they preferred games earlier in the season than later in the season due to bad weather & bad team making games harder to sell.

3 of 5 games after 12/1 are at home. You would think that would make the fans happy as there always seem to be complaints that the NFL doesn't allow any home games in December. There's no pleasing people. We could have 16 home games in a row and someone would complain that the Bills aren't getting frequent flier miles.

None of it matters if we have a good team. Personally, I don't mind the schedule. The Bills have a good chance to get double digit wins this year.

Exactly, just go out and play. There's no use complaining, plus our schedule really isn't that bad.

At least we're not the Jaguars. They have one game in Jacksonville between weeks 3 through 10. Oh and to reward their travels...their home game week 11 is on a short week against their division rival the Titans on Thursday night.

for the person who negged me and called me an idiot for saying that brandon prefers early season games, see quote. IT also doesn't take a huge leap to see that brandon had the final wilson years as a make the most money possible and quality of team doesn't matter. Now that there is a new owner in town, we'll slowly see his old "genius" methods of business aren't needed. Why he remains on the payroll for doing nothing to make the team a winner is beyond me. But that is the gift of a snakeoil salesman.

"It's not been optimal. It's a proven fact that in December in Buffalo, it's difficult to attain sellout status at our facility," Bills CEO Russ Brandon said. "December games are a challenge."

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said it's difficult creating a schedule to satisfy every request made by every team.

"We are aware of the Bills' preferences for limiting late-season home games," McCarthy said. "We know we are not able to make every team happy every year. But we strive to design schedules that are equitable for all 32 teams."

I agree with you about Brandon & the past.

But you answered the question of Brandon still being employed yourself....he is a great snakeoil salesman.

And that is all his job will entail from now on, selling the Bills to the fans.

you and i both agree that winning sells. i guess he's the hedge in the event that rex can't turn us into a winner. but it seems that the pegulas are happy to scrap one plan and buy another one fairly dynamically. they kept the FNC packed with a dead last sabre team but expectations pretty high over the next 3 years.

Brandon just becomes more and more useless and the fact he is still there is a curse. He sold a home game, watched it fail and then went and did it again. He picked maybin as GM. as his role grew, the team got worse. he's billy buffalo. get rid of them both, and i'll show you a playoff team.
