Pulling the plug on Manziel already. I wonder if we'd take a flyer on him for a late round trade. Roman did take a stab at reforming Gabbert, so he apparently does believe in his ability to save misfit QBs.

Is this the remake to "Draft Day" with Kevin Costner?

Was that any good? I wanted to see it when it came out, but at the last second I never did.

If unrealistic sports movies are your idea of a good time, it's great!

So, which do you think was least realistic?

1) A 44 year old Kevin Coster throwing a perfect game?
2) GM Kevin Coster convicing the Seahawks to trade down from #1 to #6 for absolutely nothing at all?
3) Kevin Coster cutting a baseball field into his corn so that ghost players could play on it?

the movie starts with costner getting bullied out of 4 consecutive 1st round picks to get the number 1 pick overall.

so this scenario where they give 1 from 1 year seems kind of along those lines. especialy with Mariotta having all the questions he has.

I also saw the movie on a 15 hr flight to japan... so it did the job. is it worthy of an oscar or any other award, no.

if you like football, you'll enjoy the movie.

wow I really thought Mariotta had a chance. But now that Cleveland thinks he has the goods I want to admit right now I was wrong, he's a bust

I don't think the Bills add another QB this offseason. It would be exciting and entertaining to add Johnny Football. Though I think Rex is sold on a Manuel/Cassel/Taylor competition. if we do decide to add a 4th QB to the mix. Which I believe would be a huge mistake. It'd be through the draft. I think the Bills, if they were to draft a QB would take Hundley. But it seems Rex is set on his QB's.

I'll go with Kevin going swimming as a human fish for 3 hours in a flood.

The trade with all the second round picks was so unrealistic. Wasn't it three second rounders for a top five pick? No way that ever happens.

I wonder if we'd take a flyer on him for a late round trade.

I would do it and use next years 1st rd. pick to do so.

I like Draft Day a lot, it's entertainment not a documentary. Actually own a copy and have been thinking about watching it tomorrow night instead of the first round to assist in getting pumped up for Friday.

Not true, they got the top QB at a discounted deal. That doesn't mean the trade made any sense at all, but they did get something out of it.

You don't think that Greg Roman already has enough of these right now, without adding the Manzeil headache to the equation?

LOL @ the Browns. Their owner is the worst.

and the titans said "no" because their price is 3 first rounders. they're using the price the rams got from the redskins for RG3 to set the market for the no.2 pick

Manziel is on the small side of NFL QBs. As others have pointed out, other guys like that (Drew Brees) have succeeded because of hard work and dedication to the game. Manziel just doesn't seem to have that.

Peter King says the BROWNS are going after Sam Bradford.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/04/30/report-browns-think-they-can-get-sam-bradford-today/

Peter King of Sports Illustrated said a source told him the Browns think they have a good chance before the draft starts (http://mmqb.si.com/2015/04/30/marcus-mariota-trade-eagles-titans-browns-nfl-draft-rumors/) to acquire Eagles-for-a-minute quarterback Sam Bradford (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5161/sam-bradford).

That would line up with the potential three-way deal (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/04/21/three-way-trade-could-get-mariota-to-philly/) we’ve been talking about here for a week, checking off a lot of the boxes that the Titans, Browns and Eagles would need.

Presumably, the Eagles would get one of the Browns’ first-rounders in any exchange for Bradford, to put with their own 20th pick (though there would likely be other moving parts in that deal).

Coupled with the fact the Eagles may be trying to move some spare parts (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/04/30/eagles-have-some-other-parts-to-move-as-they-eye-marcus-mariota/), it sure appears they’re open for business, which will make today a fascinating one as Kelly works to put his stamp on the team.

And while Bradford’s coming off a pair of ACL tears, he’d be the most legitimate starting quarterback the Browns have had in ages, and certainly a better use of a swapped first-rounder than Brandon Weeden (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/7480/brandon-weeden) or Johnny Manziel (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/9271/johnny-manziel).
