I'm going on record to say that Whaley hasn't been that terrible as a GM. Obviously the McCoy deal and the Hughes acquisition were pretty nice. With that said he's made some pretty bad decisions as well. Screwing up a draft pick isn't half as bad as trading a pick for a guy who doesn't make your roster.
Can anyone explain to me why we gave away a 4th for Williams who never saw the field and another forth for Brown who looks like he's getting an early exit from this team. Two forth rounders...and BTW..one of them is in 2016 if I'm not mistaken. I'm also a firm believer that Marrone was the one who had a nutty about EJ and was the only reason we got Kyle Orton, which whether you like or not, is the reason we went 9-7. I'm confident we would have been 7-9 or worse without him.
My point is that not even the media has challenged him on some of these decisions.
