4 days to find out if he ordered a hit.

If not, he's fair game but most teams will make a pitch. Rex buying him dinner first doesn't increase the odds.

If there's still a question, walk away.

I think Rex being there first to meet with the kid and his family does increase our odds slightly. His family will have some sway here and they may want him to leave this whole mess behind him by moving to Buffalo.

Every team will offer him the same 3 year guaranteed contract for $1.523M.

He will choose based on where he feels most welcome/comfortable and sees the best opportunity.

Perhaps Rex tips the scales in our favour.

Not much else we can do.

Florida has no state tax and NY does.

Miami has 3 of his LSU teammates and we have none.

NE is the defending SuperBowl Champion and we are not.

New Orleans is near where he grew up and stayed close to go to college and we are not.

I applaud Rex's efforts.

If his lifelong dream is to play alongside various former Florida State Seminoles, we're in luck.

They can sign him whenever they want if he chooses to sign with them. They just can't meet with him on the LSU campus or at his home.

"If he ordered a hit."

Yes, indeed.

Such a strange situation. You just can't really know. Ray Carruth material, or some kind of after-school special at least if he didn't do anything.

I think the Bills were the one of two teams who had interest in signing him in the first place.

That's probably why we are on the short list.

In the end he's going to sign close to home. Miami is going to get this guy.

of course he could still be a monster

given what you know about hernandez now, would it surprise you if he could have plugged some other poor drink spiller and still calmly strolled thru the draft like he hadnt a care in the world? brrr
