Apparently he's in NYC for a charity event. Didn't know coaches are voluntary for OTAs as well.

I prefer the, "Camp Marv," approach when it comes to OTAs.
He took the team to Jim Kelly's charity golfing event and it was officially counted as an OTA practice.
I think this means that Rex trusts his coaching staff and he's comfortable allocating his coaching power to his assistants.
He's not a control freak like Marrone was. Rex is a lot more laid back and the players love him for it.
It's a good thing if, "Dad," can leave for a day and go play softball without having to worry about the house and kids.

Rex & his wife flew back to Buffalo this morning.
Rex has not missed any team time.
