Craig button the sabres looking at ilya samsonov with the second first. I'd actually love that move. More I read about samsonov, the more I like him.

It's a high risk high reward pick. They don't think he will last to 21

Always the Russian factor though. Although I bet it is easier to get them to come here with the KHL having problems paying their guys.

Meh, I don't buy into the Russian factor much. For every problem child, there is equally a good Russian team mate, whatever player.

I don't think the Sabres take a goalie with their second first rounder, unless they happen to either trade down into the high twenties with the pick or trade up into the high twenties with some of their second rounders.

I believe a goalie might not be drafted in the first round this year.
