McDavid's going first, no matter what the results from the combine were. Period. End of discussion.

Those measurables do make a difference, regardless of the naive on here. The NHL requires a physicality that easily obtainable. You can get away with things in college / Junior hockey, not happening in the NHL.

While mcdavid may have a higher ceiling, I think k it's certain eichel is a man at 18. Mcdavid needs to grow a little more. Compared to Eichel anyways.

He isnt, but you have to think the oilers are at least Looking. It would be irresponsible to not at least look at him.

LOL, you have to weigh everything when drafting. If I had any zone bucks to offer, I would put those up. I had a few laying around here somewhere, just can't find them.

And after the Oilers are done weighing everything they will take Connor McDavid.. Patrick Kane did 1 bench press when he was at the 2007 combine... They still have these combines but it is accepted in the hockey scouting world the NHL draft combine results are of low value

Absolutely, but you'd have to imagine that after eichels showing at the worlds, and now his combine, that the oilers are at least going to look at him. Even if it's only for a second.

How quickly is Murray and the Sabres brass ready to go up on the podium to announce the Eichel pick? Does he push the Oilers brass out of the way to get up there after they pick.

I can't wait to hear the Edmonton picker go on for 5 minutes how great the Florida organization is and how thankful they are to the fans of that organization for the right to be there to pick before picking McDavid. Then Murray will get up there and say, "The Buffalo Sabres take Jack Eichel"

And when they all come here next year for the draft, I will have no problem if they just pick their guy and shut up. At least I think I won't.

I love that part. Specially when you hear the Canadian teams and Northern US teams talk about their draft party at their rink and the southern US teams thank the draft party at "Steve's All U Can Eat Buffet" LOL
