Brandon Spikes' Car Abandoned Near Crash Scene

A car belonging to Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes was found abandoned near the scene of a crash on I-495 early Sunday morning in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

OnStar representatives told Massachusetts State Police the driver reported hitting a deer. The 2011 Mercedes Maybach was found in the median with front end damage around 3:30 a.m.

No deer was found in the area, but nearby, three people were hospitalized after they reported being rear-ended on I-495 northbound. A 51-year-old man, a 32-year-old woman and a 12-year-old boy from Billerica were all examined and treated after the 2009 Nissan Murano was hit.

It is not yet known who was driving the Mercedes, and police could not confirm what car hit the Nissan.

The New England Patriots released linebacker Brandon Spikes on Monday as authorities investigated whether a Mercedes he owned was involved in an accident after the car was found abandoned in a highway median near where three people were hurt in a car that was rear-ended.

The deer apologized for being hit and asked for leniency for Spikes, according to Goodell.

Lol, you don't abandon a car thAt cost hundreds-of-thousands of dollars just because you hit a deer... Not In the age of cell phones, and not ever.

It won't take them long to figure out that Spikes is lying through his anus here. From what is being reported, anyway.

Gotta figure that there is a reason he fled at that hour. He was probably ****ed up...doesn't take a rocket scientist.

Speaking only for myself, I hate when I mistake another vehicle, building, tree, crowds of pedestrians, or fire hydrants for a deer and flee the scene quicker than I can pick up the uncovered tight end.

Spikes was a good dude for us, but now that he defected back to the Patriots, I hope he doesn't play for them, not that I wish him in trouble or anything.

If you wonder why 80% of the players are broke it could be reasons like buying a Maybach on a very modest NFL contract.

These players have no concept of savings.

They showed the car on the news last night. No way that was a deer. I didn't see one hair in the front end.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
                              It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
