The Bills have a chance to play in the AFC Championship game this year too.

Call me crazy or whatever you fancy, but why not? The situation is similar, no?

The Jets had a better offensive line. Hard to decide when 60% of the Bills line this year will be different.

Question? Do the Bills have more talent on all sides of the ball or less compared to the 2009-2010 Jets?

I think the Bills have the bigger meatballs.

New York Jets2009 NFL DraftThe New York Jets drafted Sanchez using the fifth overall selection in the 2009 NFL Draft, making him the first quarterback selected by the Jets in the first round since Chad Pennington (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chad_Pennington).[44] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Sanchez#cite_note-Draft_day-44) To select Sanchez, the Jets traded their first and second round selections and three players, Kenyon Coleman (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenyon_Coleman), Abram Elam (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abram_Elam) and Brett Ratliff (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brett_Ratliff), to the Cleveland Browns.[44] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Sanchez#cite_note-Draft_day-44)

Yes, bigger meatballs (better players) and maybe even a better QB than Mark Sanchez.

Don't forget what Rex did with the Ravens.

The Bills are 33-1 odds to win the Super Bowl.

You really like Rex. I don't share your optimism.

No it's not hard to decide.. In 2009 and 2010 Nick Mangold and Dbrickashaw Ferguson made the ProBowl and in 2009 Alan Faneca made the probowl. I think I can safely say in 2009 the Jets had a offensive line that was Top 5 in the NFl.. How likely is the Bills OL to be Top 5 in 2015.. You're sipping the homer juice hard tonight

Ill always remember in 2009 Sanchez throwing 5 interceptions at home agasint the Bills and losing in OT 16-13.. Jairus Byrd had 2 INTS that day.. The Jets weren't that great in 2009.. 9-7 and they beat a division winner in the bengals who only won 10 games although the Jets did beat the 13-3 Chargers in the divisional playoff game.. Pretty sure Rex said recently his 2010 Jets were the better team and that is the team that should have made it to the Super Bowl

Remember when the only reason the Jets even made the playoffs in 2009 was because the Bengals laid down for them in the final week of the season? Good times.

Well, something Rex never had with the Jets was a good edge pass rusher.

On the Bills, Rex has not only one, he has TWO GOOD edge pass rushers in Mario Williams & Jerry Hughes.

I watched a show about the 85 Chicago Bears on NFL Network tonight.

That Bears defense held teams scoreless in a number of games.

I think this Bills defense can do the same.

Remember when the only reason the Jets even made the playoffs in 2009 was because the Bengals laid down for them in the final week of the season? Good times.

AND the Colts the week before that...the Colts totally laid down down for the Jets in week 16 in the 2nd half with our old pal Curtis Painter and company.

The Colts were 14-0 at that point and had a chance to have the perfect season. They laid down to the Jets, and then the Bills beat the Colts 7-30 the following week in the final game, when they laid down again. No way THAT should have happened either...

What kind of a hump not named Jim Caldwell would do that, anyway? Lay down like that when they damn sure should have have a perfect regular season record?

This is why they the league changed scheduling so as to try to have more meaningful games at the end of the season...divisional games, at least. But who would throw away the chance at having the perfect season? Then you gotta hear about the '72 Dolphins popping the cork on their champagne again when the Colts laid down.

At any rate, the Jets were handed that 2009 playoff berth twice-over in the final 2 weeks of the season. They took advantage of it under Rex and carried that momentum into the following season, which is commendable...but the Jets had absolutely no business being in the playoffs in the first place in 2009. Not if fair games were being played in the final two weeks.

What about Aaron Maybin ? :winkpunch

Hey, Maybin had six sacks for the Jets and zero for the Bills...for whatever that's worth.

I hit the homer juice hard every day of my life like it's my job, Ginger Vitis.

Before Marrone came to town, the Bills offensive line was good. Cordy Glenn had 2 excellent seasons at left tackle and was well on his way to the Pro Bowl in 2014 until he got sick. Some people thought he deserved to go to the Pro Bowl in 2013.

A healthy Cordy Glenn is going to be playing next to a well rested former Pro Bowl player in Incognito. He was on his way to a second Pro Bowl in 2013 before the whole bullying thing, so it's not like the Bills don't have Pro Bowl talent on their offensive line.

Aaron Kromer is a huge upgrade. Greg Roman is a huge upgrade. John Miller sounds like a huge upgrade, and Kouandjio sounds like a man determined to replace Seantrel Henderson, which would be a huge upgrade as well.

When judging the Bills offensive line, last year should not apply. I think they're going to have an excellent offensive line in 2015, better than expected.

Anyone check out Sanchez's stats from 2009-2010?

Holy crap, literally.

Compared to the Mark Sanchez of 2009-2010, I think EJ Manuel is better.
