All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
You’ve certainly heard about this 6-foot-2, 303-pound rookie stunning Bills coaches with his intellect this past spring. Miller picked up offensive coordinator Greg Roman’s complex blocking scheme so quickly, so seamlessly that he lined up with the starters in organized team activities. Miller was even telling some veterans what to do on plays.
He scored a 7 on the Wonderlic, then bumped it up to 14, hasn't even strapped on pads yet and he's already the smartest olineman on the team. That speaks volumes.

This kid gets it. He's putting the time in the film room and playbook so that he knows his role and won't have to think out there. He's not going to be the biggest guard in the NFL, but I think he has enough size and strength to be a productive guard. He's got the football smarts and drive to succeed, that's for sure.
Great article. It's great to see the father learned how to avoid falling into that lifestyle and was able to help keep John on the straight and narrow.
maybe i'm just getting old, but these stories have been around constantly in the drought years. and they give you something to root for, but if the guy doesn't get it or the team doesn't succeed, they story doesn't do much for me.
it's pretty jaded to say, but at this point, i just want the team to do well. i don't care about the backstories yet. i want to love the front page story first. at that story has to be, "this team is for real and they are going to get to the playoffs."
once they do that, then the following offseason, i'd love to hear all the stories of people getting into motorcycle accidents, avoiding dangerous lifestyles, battling back from some troubled seasons, etc.

Unfortunately, it also speaks volumes about the Offensive Line.
Let's see how he plays before we start making such proclamations.
I will say this, its refreshing to hear about someone "getting it" rather than the usual, "his head is swimming" comments you normally get at this time of year.
Maybe they are pimping him up because they remain so thin on the interior of the line..idk. But the little I've seen of him, I've liked.
In any event, with the DT's coming into the AFCE this season, he's going to need to be everything they think he is, and then some.
