Let the countdown begin! 3 more days until training camp begins.

This is a good pre-training camp article about the QBs. Sal doesn't mince words at the end.

He makes a good case for all 3 quarterbacks, and dangles a giant piece of social media red meat to chow on and tear apart for the next 3 days.

I'll be happy if EJ or Taylor starts.

Cassel might have more experience and the better numbers, but he is what he is and he isn't going to win the Bills a Super Bowl.

Taylor and Manuel have more, "upside," as they say.

"We’re told Taylor is most likely the fastest QB in the league. We’re told his football intelligence, and ability to understand complex offenses, is off the charts. I’ve seen his arm. There’s no questioning anything about it. It’s as legit as his teammates rave about."

Even more than the "if Jaworski says it, then it's not happening crowd" is the if Sal says it, it means nothing.

We’re told Taylor is most likely the fastest QB in the league.

In related news, I hear Mario Williams has the best throwing arm of any Defensive End in the NFL.

You know what would be really cool?

If we got a Quarterback who could actually play Quarterback.

In a poll in that article, who should the starting QB be?

Manuel leads at 50%.

In a similar poll from the Rochester D&C

Manuel leads at over 64%

Taylor sucked in college, he will never amount to anything in the NFL, ever.

Mr. First Round better be the front runner or he's in serious trouble if he's behind a 6th and 7th round draft choice.

We drafted him under the pretense we could develop into a decent starter.

Time to step up for EJ.

We need him to come through big time.

The question is "Who should the Bills start at QB if there is no separation between the 3 QBs at the end of camp?"

The answer to that question doesn't matter. Because if one of these QB's doesn't step up to lead the pack, we're going to have another miserable year.

If none of these QB's create any separation, then I propose we offer Kyle Orton 2x the cash to come out of retirement plus all the liquor he can drink!

No surprise from the poll that no one wants to see Cassel starting.

I've been hoping for EJ to step up and win the job, but I'm becoming more and more intrigued by Taylor. I can't say I'll be disappointed if they go with him. I was listening to a Tim Graham interview with John Clayton a couple weeks back, and Graham mentioned that Lee Evans was a big fan of Taylor and thought he had all the tools to be a franchise qb after spending a year with him in Baltimore.

I want to see Cassel starting. Those other two are jokers. If Ryan start Taylor or Manuel it is proof that Ryan is not a good head coach. (Which is already a given)

God it blows that this dude retired... I wonder if he has any second thoughts now with the changes that were made... I wonder what it would cost. Every man has a price right? Im not trying to be all Pollyanna about this but if we had a middling quarterback this team might have a real shot not just to make the playoffs but make a run. He's gotta see that right?

He's not even middling. More like piddling.

He won't but I think we'd be a serious playoff contender if he did.

Reading these polls just tells me how delusional everyone is. I'm sorry but EJ is not turning into a star.

If it weren't for the fourth down slide I'd be OK with bringing Orton back, but that single play soured me on him. He didn't play well enough all season to excuse that. Orton may still be the best option for this team theoretically if none of the other three step up, but I want guys on the field whose sole motivation is winning on game day.

I think the positive thing is, we don't need any of our QB's to be a star exactly, just slightly above average.

Sadly, even that's asking a lot.

But Greg Roman managed to get Alex Smith playing respectable football, ditto Kaep until D's figured out the pistol and how to contain him in the pocket.

It's not totally hopeless for us.

But I do agree it's unlikely EJ will ever be a star. Luckily we don't need him to be one (for now anyway, while we have this D).
