New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith will miss six to 10 weeks after suffering a broken jaw in a locker room altercation.

Coach Todd Bowles said Smith was hit by linebacker IK Enemkpali on Tuesday morning.


Bowles said Smith was "sucker-punched" by the linebacker. The quarterback will undergo surgery he said.

The Jets didnt see a hit like that coming, and neither did Geno

But in all seriousness, punching your QB in the jaw in a locker room fight is a sure fire way to ensure that you never play in the NFL again

Dunno if this is true, but I did see it:

In college IK Enemkpali was convicted of battery on a police officer. Jets drafted him anyway, but cut him for battery on a quarterback.

I am actually more worried about Fitzpatrick starting with Gailey as his OC then I ever was with Smith starting.
