View Full Version : The Most Anticipated Preseason Game of All Time - Bills Vs. Panthers GDT

It's 2:11 AM in London.

Less than 22 hours away from the preseason start of the 2015 NFL season for the Buffalo Bills.

The road to Super Bowl 50 starts now.

Will Carolina play vanilla on defense, or will Rex Ryan tickle Ron Rivera's toes and suggestively request a favor?

"anticipated preseason game" is an oxymoron.

I'm faking sick at 3:30 tomorrow to make sure I'm home in time at 4 to steal it off of the internet. It's not Mayweather vs. Pacquaio, but I'm curious to see what this team looks like.

"anticipated preseason game" is an oxymoron.

In every other year in Bills history, yes, but not this year.

Wouldn't be surprised if WKBW records the highest ratings ever for a Bills preseason game tomorrow night.

Everyone wants to see the quarterback competition come to a head.

This year is no different. Same D we had the last 2 years, still no QB, still no OL.

The D the last two years was definitely not the same. Granted on the QB. Hopefully not on oline.

disagree on the o line. Everything else is spot on

I gotta admit, seeing Cousins go 12-14 for 154 and a 11-pt comeback made me cringe knowing Cassel will read 6-11 for 24 yards at this time tomorrow.

This thread title is completely awesome in its grandeur and its hyperbole.

Intentional or not, I give it a ****s yeah and a +1.

I know Rex wont show us too much, but I'd like to see a few things tonight.

On offense:
All three QB's playing for their life. Don't play it safe - put it all out there and try to win a job.
McCoy gets no more than 5 carries.
Harvin and Woods playing all three spots
Utilization of the TE's

On Defense:

I am curious how our corners can match-up against Benjamin and Olson.
If the move to Corey Graham at safety can help takeaway the middle of the field in the passing game.

Okay opening drive. Liked how the offensive line protected Cassel.

Hogan should have made that catch.

3 and out for the D.

nice 18 yard return by Robert Woods.

Miller playing very good at right guard. 2 nice plays in a row, one nice pass protect, one nice run block.

Has been a couple plays where the OL gets a good push on the run and the RB (haven't noticed if it's McCoy all the time or not) doesn't quite get the yardage I'd expect. Still, overall looking good in the run game. Pass game short and efficient, fine by me.

Most impressed with the offensive line so far. Mulligan is a moose. Like having an extra o-lineman out there.

The Jokeman
08-14-2015, 05:27 PM
Mulligan is looking like the replacement for Lee Smith aka blocking TE who takes bad penalties and can't do anything if he catches the ball.

Yeah a non passing offense. TD might be exciting but you're not going to win if your QB can't pass. Cassel > Tyrod.

Sammy Watkins would have caught that long throw by Taylor. The ball was on the money.

Starting to sound like a Flutie fan that it's always someone elses fault. I'm not buying it. Tyrod has to learn to stay in the pocket and throw the ball otherwise he's a career backup.

On that long pass, they showed a replay. Taylor stood in the pocket and delivered a good ball with the pass rush hitting his facemask and getting knocked down.

That's exactly what you want to see out of him. He took the hit and made a good pass that should have been caught. Tasker said Goodwin did a poor job on the play. I'm not blaming Goodwin, just saying he needs to make that catch....like Ted Ginn, Jr. made.

I don't entirely disagree with Jokeman, but having a QB that good at running adds a dimension to the offense that we haven't seen in a long time. Cassel did decently during his time.

This drive started at the Bills 10 yard line.

Tyrod Taylor is the difference maker.

The quarterback competition is over.

Did you see those moves!

14 points are on the board for the Bills because of one guy.

Tyrod Taylor is going to be the Bills starting quarterback in 2015.

This is awesome.

Taylor had an excellent night.

To be more cliche look at the history of the NFL and the last 49 Super Bowls, how many running QBs won rings vs passing?

In the last 5 years alone, the game has changed more than the previous 44 years combined.

It's a different kind of league now compared to 10 years ago.

Russel Wilson should have 2 Super Bowl rings if the Seahawks ran the football.

Wilson is not Brady, nor is he Manning.

Wilson can actually run.

I've always been curious as to why isn't Wilson flamed for throwing the INT that cost his team the game? Wilson as a passer is very similar to what Brady did when he first came into the league. Yet he can run but I wouldn't call him a running a QB as I see Tyrod. As Tyrod reminds me of a Michael Vick/Kaepernick. Wilson is more of a John Elway/Steve Young.
