    Can someone explain why this game was blacked out?

    I purchased Game Pass and it was blacked out.

    The FCC has abolished blackouts.

    How is this possible?

    And I live in Corning which is a) beyond 75 miles and b) Time Warner does not carry either WKBW or WHAM which were broadcasting the game

    I read on ProFootballtalk.com that there were problems with game pass.

    A lot of people missed a lot of games they should have been able to watch.

    Can't wait for the Bills Jags game in London.

    That should be fun...if we can get it.

      What city's local ABC affiliate do you get? Time Warner carries WHAM here in Canandaigua.

                  It was also blacked out down here on game pass in SC, but I figured that was because it was on local TV CBS.
                  True fans want wins, not draft picks.

                          Blacking network local games are illegal. Preseason games arent produced by nfln. They are produced by the teams in conjunction with local tv.
                          Pats game was also blackout on nfln in boston area.

                            It worked for me. Although I already cancelled.
                            I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
