Some tough talk is emanating from the Cleveland Browns as they prepare for two joint training-camp practices with the Buffalo Bills on Monday and Tuesday at St. John Fisher College.

Yada yada from : http://bills.buffalonews.com/2015/08/15/browns-talking-tough-about-practices-with-bills/

A great chance for Ryan and Pettine to teach discipline or lack of it.

I think working with the Browns is a mistake to begin with. The two teams are generally mirror images.

-Ryan based attacking defense and Ryan based attacking defense.
-Game mgr vet QB and game mgr vet QB
-Run based offense and run based offense
-Crazy legs QB and crazy legs QB
-attempted tough guy rep and attempted tough guy rep

You'd think it would be better to practice against something other than your units face every day anyway, that you might even be able to learn from. If this ends up being a swaggering slugfest, I don't really see the point besides giving Pettine and Ryan the chance to hang out and schmooze.

Interested to see if we start talking about winning a joint practice too.

Karlos Dansby is already saying this "joint practice" will be "fireworks".

As if scrimmaging with another rustbelt city football team is their superbowl.

Pathetic.

Might be right, but the curse of the whole thing is that if we start talking too and give them fireworks (Ryan hasn't said anything, you know he will), we're sort of a pair of rustbelt cities talking pathetic, and both organizations made it so.

I think I'd be more impressed and believe stronger if Ryan says nothing and there are no fireworks.

If any of our players get hurt because these joint practices turn into a preseason meaningless macho-fest I'm going to punch one of my Browns-loving in-laws in the face.
