Eli Manning Set to Become Highest Paid QB

Eli Manning, who is set to make $17M in the final year of his contract, is currently in negotiations and set to become highest paid QB in NFL. Deal is expected to come in before season starts and should be in the neighborhood of $23M/season. The Giants have little choice in the matter as a Franchise Tag would cost about the same.

??? NFL is a pure meritocracy

Its important to recall that this was not always the case.

NFL players had to Unionize & hold out in the 1987 which resulted in the CBA, free agency, & profit sharing etc... A Meritocracy
