    Cut Cassel

    1-TT
    2-EJ
    3-Simms to PS
Use the extra roster spot for one of the RB'S or WR'S that are on the bubble.
Cut Cassell and use his 5 mm to resign someone. I cant handle watching Cassel, so mediocre, no real upside. TT and EJ can run the read option, both have wheels and good arms. They stress the perimeter of the defense, much harder to defend.

There's no reason not to keep Cassel around for this season. We can't use his cap number for this year to add anyone. Keep him around and avoid him going elsewhere (see New England).

          I was there.

Cassel deflated the entire pace of the game and threw for his usual 5 yards per throw. Manuel is better and Taylor should start. Simms could indeed be a better consideration at #3. His arm is far stronger.

I have a queasy feeling Ryan has a more favorable perception of Cassel than most around here.

Restructure his contract and keep him around as insurance. I doubt if he's cut loose that any team will pay him 4+ mil and Whaley and Cassel's agent should have a frank and honest discussion about that.

We don't know how TT and EJ will do in regular season when teams gameplan against qb's. Rob Johnson was good in preseason and camp.

                        This.

They can't cut Cassel before knowing how TT and EJ will handle the real games.

Besides. I cannot see why they can't keep all 3 QBs. Trade Gay to Pittsburgh (Hartley hurt his kicking leg last night) for future considerations or secondary insurance.

I have been saying since we signed him that this is Cassel's job.

I'm here, hat in hand, hoping Tyrod gets the job.
