His face mask couldn't hide such a big smile.

Neither Chad Clifton nor Mark Tauscher is ready to strap on a helmet and pads and battle it out against opposing defensive linemen just yet.

It's all about baby steps for Green Bay's bookend offensive tackles, who nonetheless took giant strides Tuesday morning by making their triumphant return to the practice field for the first full-squad workout of the 2003 Packers training camp.

"For us both to be able to come out the first day of training camp and play pretty well, it means a lot," said Clifton, who lined up at his familiar left tackle position with the first unit during team drills. "It's definitely a great day.
