All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

I was talking to a friend today and he asked me that. Funny two week ago, it may be a no brainer -- how could you get anything for EJ? Today it may also be a no brainer -- how could you write off his potential now you see he may really have something there? Tyrod showed what he could be after 4 years in NFL. What about EJ next year?

"You're not going to find a more classier, down-to-Earth person away from the field than Marv Levy. He's a guy who's pretty much made me what I am today as far as a professional player and a person."

To Green Bay for Aaron Rodgers maybe ...... so that would be a NFW.

EJ has some time left of his rookie deal which essentially makes him cheap for a team to trade for him and let him"develope". He played good enough in the preseason to be worth something (the amount of compensation is up for debate). IMO if a team offered me a 6th round pick that turns into a 4th based on incentives then I take it. Remember if he is traded the bills not only get that draft compensation but also get rid of his contract and it no longer counts on the cap. If you cut him you take the cap hit.
A QB is a valuable commodity. The Bills have 3 that fans are fighting over which should start. I, for one, would hold on to them tightly. Injuries happen. to every team. When a team is desperate, the Bills could bets parlay the 3rd into a 4th or better. Carrying 3 QBs makes much more sense than keeping a kick-off specialist.
I rewatched the game and as good as EJ was he had one pass that was so typical EJ where he threw it into the ground 5 yards in front of the receiver.
I am proud of EJ and is by far one of the most likeable, hard working, guys I've ever seen. With that said he has a ceiling and I would trade him if we get enough compensation. At this point Id rather trade Cassel who I neither like or think has much talent but the coaches may know more than us.

No, AFAIK both is the same cap-wise. You always get the cap hit of his pro-rated bonus. Of course the salary is dropped from the cap. But that is also true in both cases.
Well his value is as high as its ever been. If there was a time for a trade its right now.
I guess it depends on what the offer is. If its a 5th or lower I'd keep him around as our 3rd QB. If its higher than that trade him (Unlikely to happen)
How about for a player ? A corner maybe or a linebacker. We are paper thin at those positions behind the starters.
