Who is the number #2 QB? Is Cassel getting cut? Is EJ getting shopped for a trade?

Crazy day today! Adam Schefter made a great point which is that Tyrod is the toughest to defend against and Ryan as a defensive guru recognized that.

So is Cassel the number 2 QB? Does he get cut instead to get us some cap and keep a roster spot?

Is EJ the number 2 QB? Does he stay on the team as the number 3 QB? Does he get traded? Does he get cut?

Cutting EJ makes no sense. He's still on his rookie contract and would save us no money.

Cut Cassel. That's too much money to ride the bench. EJ could be in the same offense if Tyrod gets hurt. Cassel couldn't.

I dont think they would cut Cassel in the first round just in case. But I think he gets cut in the next round

At this point given what I've seen, if they can't get a nice trade for EJ, then cut Cassel and roll with Simms on the PS.

Ian Rappoport is speculating that Cassel or EJ will be cut before the season starts. My hope would be for Cassel to be gone, but my guess would be EJ.

Would be dumb to cut EJ still on his rookie contract. Besides, EJ looked MUCH improved this pre-season... just sayin. Oh, and he DOES own a better than .500 record. Just sayin...
