Should we pursue Nick Novak and cut Carpenter & Gay?

I noticed the Chargers cut Nick Novak who's a pretty decent kicker in favor of a cheaper rookie. Should the Bills pursue him since he can handle field goals and kickoffs?

and pretty sure both of Carpenter's misses he hit the goal post so it's not like he missed them bad. Yet it's obvious he might not be 100% healthy.

It's hard to let Carpenter go but if he isn't healthy it just makes sense but who knows maybe we cut him now and let him get healthy and try and bring him back yet if we can get a guy who can do both field goals and kickoffs it only makes the team that much better.
