I noticed the Chargers cut Nick Novak who's a pretty decent kicker in favor of a cheaper rookie. Should the Bills pursue him since he can handle field goals and kickoffs?

His career long is 52 and that's kicking in the sunny, dry conditions of San Diego.

Probably not a good fit in Buffalo.

I'm thinking Carpenter will be good again with not too much patience.

Connor Barth cut by Bucs. 15 for 16 on FG's last year with Denver.

Still, Carpenter should be given another chance to play for a few weeks. I didn't forget he makes 9 out of 10 FG's when healthy and right.

and pretty sure both of Carpenter's misses he hit the goal post so it's not like he missed them bad. Yet it's obvious he might not be 100% healthy.

I half wonder if Ryan isn't attempting to motivate him into healing faster.

Well from http://www.wgr550.com/Rex-makes-it-clear-he-s-unhappy-with-kicking-game-/21930864 it sounds like we might bring in a guy to see if what's what. It's hard to let Carpenter go but if he isn't healthy it just makes sense but who knows maybe we cut him now and let him get healthy and try and bring him back yet if we can get a guy who can do both field goals and kickoffs it only makes the team that much better.

Yes, but, can the Bills find someone good that handles KOs?

Make Carpenter do it.

I think we should pursue making a separate thread for every FA out there, and state reasons for why the Bills should sign him.

Is Trent E available?

Yes, let's pretend that Carpenter suddenly forgot how to kick, and that his struggles have nothing to do with his injury.

Cut him loose. I'm sure there's a former Jets kicker out there who we could sign.
