Nobody gave me props for Tyrod intel so let's see if this gets you excited.

This deal would have never happened if Rex Ryan wasn't the coach, and the Pegulas weren't the owners of the Buffalo Bills.

Talk about Fools Gold. Disappeared last 8 games of season last year.

To be fair HHURRICANE is such a shameless homer (often defying all logic in his homerism) that he most likely does work for the organization or have a deep rooted connection to those that do.

And that wasn't meant as an insult HHURRICANE. Rather it was an explanation i have theorized for your deep rooted homerishness.

No it won't. Jackson said the Bills didn't even talk to him about adjusting his contract. Whaley should be fired.

While you may be right that a deal has been reached with his agent, he is not permitted to sign it tomorrow, which is now today. He is suspended and is not allowed contact with the team until next Monday, so there is no way he can sign the contract today. The earliest he can sign it is Monday.
So, by stating he will sign today, you are incorrect.

I very well could be wrong but he has a one game suspension. He is out for the game only. All other affairs with team are as normal. Like I said it is only for the period of the game time. I think that's why this is doable.

I saw a tweet from rodak or someone of his ilk that stated while Dareus cannot have contact, his agent can. A contract can be signed anywhere.

WGR said yesterday he can have NO contact with the team this week. His agent can. If he signs, it will be considered having contact with the team. It sounds like they've agreed to terms, but the physical signing of the deal won't be done until next week.

I call BS. His agent can contact the team, bring the contract to his client, have said client sign it, bring it back to the Team. No direct contact made between team and player. There's no way the NFL could enforce this not happening.

Ian Rap has it at $100M on NFLN.

extension is 6 years, 100Million, with $52M guaranteed.
This year, he's already getting $8M guaranteed -

So his total contract is 7 years / $108M - $60M guaranteed.
The extension is actually quite a bit less than Suh got and makes this an outstanding deal for Dareus. He would have gotten a lot more next year on the open market, but he would have been tagged, so it would have gone on a lot longer, with the ever rising chance of injury, suspension or a drop off in play/value.

I was just thinking as I was driving into work that it would be cool if they got a deal for Dareus done this week. As I was getting out of the car the local radio sports guys here in Denver were talking about Von Miller setting himself up for a big extension and said something about Dareus getting paid. I'm so glad this got done and he's locked up long term now. I never really had any doubts that this wouldn't get done, but it's always nice to get it out of the way earlier than later so that it doesn't have to be a continuing topic of discussion.

It sounds like Bradham could be pretty close to getting a new deal too.

Last week they were saying things on WGR that I knew were wrong. So what do I do ? I believe them when they're talking about the Darius suspension. I should have known better than to trust them with their track record.
Sorry HHURRICANE for ever doubting you.

Yeah, I'm actually of the same mind, but trying to find some kind of silver lining.

LOL...it most certainly did...as did cutting Cassel's salary.

Bottom line is this is a deal that had to get done, for the franchise, and the credibility of those leading it (including the Pegulas).

I'm almost as pleased about this being done, as I am pissed at the canning of Fred Jackson.

I believe it's an essential move for the franchise going forward. Dareus is, simply, a stud. Not only that, but you can almost build any kind of D you want, around him.

The best is yet to come from Dareus, and I'm so glad we should be the team getting to see it. ;)

Give it another year or two, and the talk about who is better between him and Suh, will have been made redundant, by just how dominant 'Mr Big Stuff' has become. ;)
