I use to like the Colts...
I rooted for them during their Cinderella season when Jim Harbough almost led them past the Steelers into the SB... But things have changed.
Top 5 Reasons to Hate the Colts
5. They Cheat Too: from PEDs to pumping 'crowd noise' into their stadium the Colts are cheaters too. They even tamper with headset frequencies during games... Sound familiar?
4. Sore Losers: blaming deflated balls on a 45-7 whooping is a bit like being a little *****...
3. Deflategate: Did you know that 3 out of 4 Colts Balls were also deflated? The Refs stopped testing the Colts Balls because they were afraid they might not have a case vs Pats deflated balls. After all, it was Irsay who informed NFL of deflated balls *before the Game. Don't believe me? It's in the Wells Report... 3/4 of Colts Balls were deflated too. (p 69 & p 73 of the hugely expensive Wells Report (https://nfllabor.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/investigative-and-expert-reports-re-footballs-used-during-afc-championsh.pdf)).
2. Suck For Luck: Ownership took advantage of a Manning injury and let a named Curtis Painter (QB version of Aaron Maybin but drafted much later) take them to the promised land. Doesn't matter how good the Colts team was, Painter was the type of QB who could have led the Undefeated Miami Dolphins to the first overall pick in the draft.
1. When you Can't Beat them, Changing the Rules: This is far and away my #1 grievance and reason enough not to watch the NFL! Have you noticed lately how the DBs can't *Touch* the WRs? You can thank Jim Irsay for that! After his Colts WR were being mugged, year after year, Irsay proposed a rule change (no touching WR) and after being shut down... This MoFo joins competition committee and *changes the rule. You know what happened the following year? Yup, Colts win SB! When you can't beat them, just change the rules.
PS: I think this stupid rule is ruining football...
