The first two weeks are always a crap shoot---teams expected to be dominant can look like hell, and cellar dwellers can look like world-beaters. After the first quarter of the season has played out is when you can start to get a feel for how they may do over the long haul.

Starting 0-2 means we are two games and a tiebreaker behind NE for the div and at least a agame and a tiebreaker behind the Colts for a WC (they will likely win their div and it won't matter but that's a gamble we can't afford to take).

It's basically a death sentence to fall behind on both record and tiebreakers so early.

yes and no. Would you rather in December when the bills NEED to win the last 2 games to get in and it be against the colts and pats?

Both home games which is nice I think wed rather play them in the beginning of the season, just think which 2-0 would do for the confidence of this young team. There is going to be a tough stretch no matter how you make the schedule, you gotta just do what good teams do, and thats beat other good teams!

The only scenario I see which would really sour this season is if the Bills start out 0-3.

If that becomes the case, we are into a season of playing good to the finish but not good enough to make the play-offs.

It will be another season ending heart breaker.
