NFL Power Rankings after week one

NFL Power Rankings are pretty interesting if not downright ridiculous. I'll just leave this here with a chuckle.

1 game does not a season make. We actually did not finish in the top ten statistics for week 1 according to NFL network.

We just need to win & these things will take care of themselves.

So? Is Carolina better because they were statistically better than us after playing the Jaguars?

Bills are #9 in ESPN's rankings:
View the 2024 NFL power index on ESPN. The FPI is the best predictor of a team's performance going forward for the rest of the season.

Since the start of 2013, the Bills' defense leads the NFL in interceptions (44) and sacks (113). It just stopped Andrew Luck in his tracks. Next up? Tom Brady.

And our starting quarterback had the worst QBR in the entire league: 0.0!!!
Lehner's history. He just doesn't know it yet.

Here are CBS Sport's Prisco's shot at rankings - BUF at #12. For what these things are worth, that seems to be a fair seeding based on the opener games:

Prisco originally had the Bills at #24. What a joke. He had the freaking Jags ranked ahead of them. Seriously, the Jags? Get a clue.

Fox Sports locks us in at #7.
John Hemingway(facing certain death): I want to see Buffalo win the Super Bowl.
David Coltrane(threatening John): Nobody's going to live that long, pal.

                        What is your point?

Do you think Prisco was correct to rank the Jags ahead of the Bills?

FWIW on NFLN Charlie Casserly just called Buffalo's win over Indy the most impressive victory for Week #1.

Who cares? As big as the win against the Colts was this game against the Patriots is even bigger. Last week was last week, now take care of what's in front of us now.

Casserly has excellent tastes in menswear, his suits always well tailored, so I find his praise gratifying in this case.
