    Clemson tandem to sign

    As close friends and former teammates at Clemson University, Nick Eason and Bryant McNeal tend to do things together.

    It'll be no different today, when the two Denver Broncos fourth-round picks officially sign three-year contracts with the team. They agreed to terms Tuesday, leaving six Broncos picks currently without deals in place.

    The immediate development of Eason might take on an even greater importance in light of the news that Daryl Gardener will be sidelined eight weeks after wrist surgery. Eason figures to get additional training-camp snaps at defensive tackle, along with Monsanto Pope, Lional Dalton and Dorsett Davis.

    McNeal initially should be in the mix at right defensive end in camp, behind current starter Bertrand Berry. McNeal's 21 career sacks in college make him attractive to the Broncos as a potential situational pass-rusher.
