The Jaguars came to terms with their third draft pick yesterday when fullback Malaefou MacKenzie of Southern Cal, their seventh-round pick, agreed to a three-year deal with a $39,250 signing bonus.
That's a $1,250 increase over the $38,000 signing bonus that Chad Beasley of Minnesota received in that slot last year.
The Jaguars' first pick in the fourth round, tight end George Wrighster, received a $2,775 increase over last year's slot with a $330,000 signing bonus. That means their three unsigned sixth rounders -- defensive end Brandon Green, safety David Young and offensive linemen Marques Ogden -- figure to get increases ranging from $2,775 to $1,250 over last year's signing bonuses.
They've also come to terms with their other fourth-round pick, running back LaBrandon Toefield. Wrighster, Toefield and MacKenzie all received three-year deals with the minimum base salaries of $225,000, $305,000 and $380,000. MORE...
