The Raiders report to camp in Napa on Thursday. Twenty-three days later, the Wine Country Branch of Raiders World Headquarters shuts down.

Coach Bill Callahan's expectation for the abbreviated schedule: hard, efficient work.

``You really only have 17 days on the field,'' Callahan said Tuesday, noting that exhibitions and travel will take the remaining time. ``We have a lot to get in.''

Friday morning brings the first practice. After two sessions that day in shorts, the Raiders put on the pads.

While the Raiders return largely intact from their Super Bowl season, they have a few personnel questions. The answer to one -- is defensive end Tony Bryant healthy? -- should become more clear when the players go through physicals Thursday, Callahan said.
