$8,681.

What a joke. How does the NFL come up with a stupid ass figure like that?

What kind of message does that send? Nothing. It's an insult.

A $32,000 fine would seem appropriate, and that money should be donated to a domestic violence charity, but the NFL no longer makes any sense.

Players are going to look at this and say, "I can punch a dude in the face, get away with it on the field and that's all it will cost me off the field?"

I can already hear coaches saying, "Sock him in the face with a good upper cut, I'll pay you're fine."

$8,681 to Odell Beckham is like $8.68 to the average Joe American.

It is a paltry slap on a limp wrist for something that would land anyone of us in jail for assault in real life.

Way to set the example, NFL.

What's your scientific formula for coming up with 32K?

A fine on Wed doesn't help us.

15 yards on Sunday may have.

The NFL just admitted that their refs missed a big call.

Not sure how 15 yards is going to make up for 14 points...but the call would of helped something.

$1,000 for each team in the NFL.

I qualified it with a "may." Would it have affected the outcome? Not likely, but possibly. There is no way to tell now.

Of course it would've helped...Not win the game, but ****, 15 yds. is 15 yds.

If you can cheat for 15 years and get a suspension overturned, I'm pretty surveyor can win an appeal on a punch that is clearly caught on tape. The league sucks.

Fair enough, however instead of the fine or the 15 yards I would of preferred he just been ejected which is the punishment for throwing a punch in a game.

Yeah well he was playing so poorly that may have affected the outcome in their favor....

What a totally random amount. Oh and insignificant to an NFL player.

Mario Williams got fined 9k last year for wearing red socks during a game. You read that correctly. Wearing the wrong socks is worse that punching someone in the eyes of Roger Goodell's NFL.

It's probably a percentage of his game day salary.

Rex should have been fined.
