Had a healthy Tyrod played today, he would be running more, maybe more passes on the run as Cincy was not rushing more than 4 at all, often with 3, so some movement may cause some openings for the receivers. Overall, I just have a lot more confidence in converting 3rd and longs with Tyrod than EJ.
The passing lanes do seem to open more when EJ was in there. Notice how many balls EJ completed in the middle to Clay and Woods, something Tyrod did not in 5 games. But EJ still has issues throwing to the outside, especially to his left. Surprised no deep throws as he generally had time in the pocket.
In the first half, EJ had a few of big boy throws, including the one got intercepted. I actually had no problem with that decision. But EJ's accuracy, though looked improved, is still not there -- that INT throw, if a little higher or to the left a foot or so, could be a very nice one. Mind you EJ of 2014 would not attempt that throw at all.
