        NOW THIS:

        Mike RodakESPN Staff Writer

Bills WR Percy Harvin has grown increasingly frustrated with hip and knee injuries that are expected to sideline him indefinitely but he is not contemplating retirement, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. The Buffalo News reported earlier Thursday that Harvin was considering retirement.

How much does his contract count against the cap in 2016 and 2017? It was always unlikely that the Bills exercised the option on the remaining two years of the contract but now it would seem foolish.

Presumably the Bills did not know about his injury issues before they signed him.

Damn it! I just ordered home and away Harvin jerseys to replace my Leinart, Merriman, and Cassel jerseys.

Of course they knew. Everyone knew about his durability issues. He hasn't played more than 9 games since 2011.

If there was ever a time for Woods to break out, this would be it.

I'm shocked he didn't contemplate retirement back when he was on the Vikings with his constant headache issues, tbh.

Where are all the people that wanted Ryan so badly? This Percy Harvin crap is all his fault.

A new report has called into question the previous report that Bills receiver Percy Harvin is contemplating retirement.

After today’s report from the Buffalo News that Harvin was considering calling it a career, ESPN reported that while Harvin has grown increasingly frustrated with hip and knee injuries, he is not contemplating retirement.

Harvin did not make the trip to London with the Bills this week. The Bills described Harvin as out for “personal reasons” and said his absence was not injury related.

That could indicate that there’s a disagreement between Harvin and the Bills about whether he’s ready to go. Perhaps the Bills’ medical staff is saying that Harvin’s injuries aren’t too much for him to play through, but Harvin thinks otherwise.

This is going to end up being about money.

He doesn't play through injuries like almost every other NFL player does. I can't say I blame him. But when someone like Tate or Baldwin mouth off about it, they get their asses kicked. Then, he gets the "locker room cancer" label. All you have to do is look at how he has dealt with injury in his past and this would not surprise anyone. At least he hasn't punched anyone in frustration yet.
