Re: jerry sullivan wrote this for half the board
Cowboys should go back to Brandon Weeden
The Dallas Cowboys looked to Matt Cassel to provide a spark. As I wrote as soon as they made that call, you know things are bad when Cassel is your spark plug.
What exactly has Cassel done to justify the move or holding on to the job over Brandon Weeden? Cassel has completed 58 percent of his passes for 324 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in two games. That equates to a passer rating of 58.5.
Weeden completed 72 percent of his passes for 739 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in four games, three of which he started.

Most interesting thing he wrote was that Tyrod is not a franchise QB...or to be accurate doesn't "fit the profile".
It's terrible that last year we all knew we needed a QB. We STILL need a QB, but now, we also need a defense again.

We still need a QB...that's a player. We still need a couple of olinemen....those are players. We do need a defense again, but that's on coaching.YardRat Wall of Fame

It's definitely Whaley who is on the bubble. If Ryan says in private with Pegula that they differ, he is gone.
Ryan isn't going anywhere for at least 2 more years.Anonymity is an abused privilege, abused most by people who mistake vitriol for wisdom and cynicism for wit

baffled by that
EJ is not right for us at this point but we all have to agree the bills were right. if anyone watched the last 2 cowboys games they should know weeden would have been the better option over cassel

Cowboys sticking with Matt Cassel
The EJ apologists are alive and well. Cassel might not be a world beater, but Manuel is nowhere close to as good as he is. Anyone that thinks so is just clueless.

Agree. We've needed a qb and oline for years now. Why doesn't this GM see that ? We need quality back ups on both sides of the line. Yes he's made some nice moves but we are no closer to the play off then we were when Whaley took over. A good team on paper is one thing and a good team on the field is another.

Re: jerry sullivan wrote this for half the board
Count me as one of those who was already not sure about loudmouth Rexy when we hired him. Now it's getting absurd
We should have a D that's as good as Wades Broncos. Instead we have an overpaid DL that couldn't do squat vs. Bortles when it mattered most.
We did almost the same thing last year to Rogers what the broncos did to him last night. I can only imagine how good this D could have been in their 2nd year under Schwartz.
There's time for Rexy to turn this around but it better happen soon.
