Maybe after we sign Stafford we can package him, Kyle Williams and EJ Manuel for the #1 pick in the 2016 draft so we can nab this guy. I can hardly control my excitement.

I had a series of long arguments over multiple boards about the height of QB's, when people wanted us to draft Glennon. QB's over 6'5" just don't do well.

If the Bills are talking to his high school coach, I give them credit.

Whaley might have to give up the farm to draft Lynch.

Polian gave up Gregg Bell, two first round draft picks, and a 2nd rounder to land Cornelius Bennett.

If Whaley has to give up that much, so be it.

I'm not giving up on Tyrod, but Paxton Lynch looks like the kind of player that can be around for the next 18 years.

I think it's a legitimate argument (and, yes, so is hand size) but in the couple of times I've actually watched Lynch play he doesn't look like he's playing that tall.

6'7 Lynch (Memphis) vs. 6'2 Kelly (Ole Miss)

Dude's huge. Absolute bazooka for an arm.

Goff's pretty darn good too. More accurate than Lynch IMO. But that's not a shot at Lynch at all.

Question will always be. Can this guys play in a pro multi read system ? Or are they one read qbs ??

Either way if Taylor does not pan out we have to find a way to land either.

The article also didn't include JaMarcus or Glennon at 6'6", Dan McGwire at 6'8", Ryan Mallett or Brock Osweiler at 6'7" in the stats though it mentioned them.

Google some pics of Lynch, admittedly doing very well. He's a tall skinny guy, like Glennon was. Guys like that get hit hard, and it's not the college shooting gallery from up high against Missouri State, South Florida, Navy and Tulsa like it was in college. He's sort of stuck being that tall and skinny, imho.

Too lazy to read the whole thing.

What's the summary? Why can't they succeed ?

Beats the heck out of me, they just don't. Flip to the end where it lists them. Flacco (ok), Freeman, Scott Mitchell, Derek Anderson, Marc Wilson, Glennon, Jamarcus, Dan McGwire, Mallett, Osweiler.....

I think the sample size of 6'5 + QB's is relatively small compared to a much larger sample size. Only recently have teams been able to draft such tall quarterbacks.

They didn't grow them that big 20 years ago. 6'5 + QB's are kind of new.

For what it's worth or not worth, Brady is 6'4.

1 damn inch away from being horrible!

                          Roethlisberger is 6'5.

You didn't even mention Connor Cook who might be amongst the top QBs available in the draft. No doubt we're going to draft a QB, the question is in what round?

Article also mentions 6'7" Sonny Gibbs (2nd round, 1962) and Frank Patrick (10th, Packers, 1970). Glennon, JaMarcus, Osweiler, Mallett are all recent. Logan Thomas also.

It is what it is, QB's over a certain height are not good.
