I don't think it was the money it was the culture of the organization and the fact that he was the problem that drove people away.

As the cliche goes, there are only 32 of these jobs in the whole world and two people willingly walked away from one. That says something.

Then again, look at the Browns, they had a hard time getting people to even interview for the job before Pettine was hired.

" Manic Depression " by Jimi Hendrix comes to mind when reading many of these threads.

Coaches walk away from teams for a variety of reasons, usually a failed power play

When you see "mutually agreed" that means a coach walked away.

Marrone wouldn't have walked away if he wasn't offered a golden parachute.

I thought it was something he negotiated when he inked his contract - which I thought was the right move by him, given BUF's coaching change history.

Didn't fans play a role with Mularkey?

Mularkey was depressed in 2005 when he realized he made a huge mistake letting Drew Bledsoe go in favor of Lossman.

Supposedly yes, his kids were taunted at school or something and in the end he cited "family concerns"

yeah, because Bledsoe went to Dallas and really tore it up.

JP sucked but Bledsoe was beyond done after his horrid win and your in game vs. PittsBurgh in 2004.
