The last 2 weeks this team has been faced with 3rd and 1 at key moments even 3rd and inches and cant get the first down. When a Defense stuffs you on 3rd down that's a huge momentum swing and I think that was the case against the Pats. That just goes to show you how bad this Offense is.

There have some questionable play calls on some of those IMO.

That was a dumb call after the timeout. Prior to the timeout, even Gruden was commenting about running Taylor. It was like NE stole our play book if it was so stupid.

I agree running a sweep instead of running it right up the middle. They did the same thing against the Jets on Thursday night had 3rd and 1 or 3rd and inches twice and couldn't convert on those there Is something wrong here.

If your OL can't gain 1" straight ahead it says to your team you don't believe in their blocking. That kind of decision is like a cancer to a team. Run a sneak if you want. But a sweep? That's nuts when you need 1". That brings back memories of Kevin Gilbride with an OL that run blocked a lot better than it pass blocked passing like 20 times in a row on 3rd and 2 or less (yes really). It demoralizes the OL it really does.

I would not even run the ball in that situation. Play action over the top with the LBs being too aggressive. If nothing is open Tyrod can probably gain 1 yard on a scramble.

Very questionable. For a team that's supposed to be a smashmouth football team, why in the **** did we not run right up the gut in that 3rd and 1? Why would we run a sweep? We trying to catch a Belichick defense not paying attention?

More than a few times this year, Roman has tried to do something against the grain or exotic when a simple run up the gut or a simple screen play would have sufficed.

The QB sneak has been off the Bills playbook for a good 5 years now. Unreal how we never use it. Run up the middle you ass.

Also I wonder if our OC Roman knows he's allowed to have more than 2 running plays. Shotgun sweep, shotgun draw. That's it. That's all. Nothing more. No other formations or types of runs. Just those 2 over and over and over again.

Ya know what the Pats do in that situation?

Brady, QB sneak, 1st down.

We have a running back playing QB and run a sweep...after bringing every big body possible into the box on both sides.

Jon Gruden showed a list of all of the types of running plays that the Bills use on the screen behind him and was enamored with how many there are to choose from. I was like...we don't use any of those. We run from the shotgun like 85% of the time.

Did you see that kid on the sideline drop a playbook on the bench next to Brady? Coulda sworn it had a Bills logo on it. And just below that: "Steal this book." :-)

Moving the TE in to run the sweep out of shotgun must be the number 1 play in the playbook. They are enamored with that play and most of the time it doesn't work.

I've lost count on how many times I've seen the Pats and know they are about to run the sneak. And yet every time they convert it. Its like I'm on my couch and I know what's coming. Why don't the other teams do? And if they do why can't they ever stop it?

We apparently have no idea its even allowed to be done.

I can't just blame the Bills on that one because other teams do the same crap, not that many teams will run a sweep on 3rd and like 3 inches but not the point here, I don't get how the Pats with the best QB in the league have no issue running sneaks with him and other teams who have trash at QB are completely scared of that play call.
