in the past, people have gotten on my case because I trashed guys like Stevie for a single personal foul. Well, if every starter got a pass on one personal foul each season, that would be 22 15 yard penalties a season. Holding, PI, offsides, false starts will happen- guys get beat or put in bad positions etc. but personal fouls should never happen because it's a complete mental breakdown. It has nothing to do with the other team or human error and everything to do with lack of discipline.

He's usually good for at least two crucial offsides a game, the personal fouls are just an added bonus from the guy. He had a great game last week against the Pats, aside from that he's been about close to average as possible.

I'm at the point where I don't blame him anymore. The defense is getting rolled by a bunch of second and third stringers and his frustration is getting the best of him. Early in the season the undisciplined penalties were one thing, but right now at least he's upset enough to have a little fight left him in. I'd be frustrated too if I had to take direction from a moron like Ryan and his ****ing band of fools he brought with him.

Hughes was jackpotting around last year too. Schwartz say him an entire 2nd half in a controversial loss (don't remember which one), afterwards Marrone commented on the lack of pass rush, saying that he didn't realize Hughes wasn't playing. I liked Schwartz - he held his players accountable.
