And really hurt the Steelers playoff chances.

The Bengals aren't only playing to win their division, they're also battling for home field advantage over the Patriots and Broncos.

Game is in Cincinnati.

If Buffalo wins and Pittsburgh loses tomorrow, the Bills will be circling the playoff wagon.

If the Chargers beat the Chiefs, and the Titans defeat the Jets too, Monday morning will be quite fun.

Remaining Schedules:

Jets - Titans, at Cowboys, Patriots, at Buffalo.

Steelers - at Cincinnati, Broncos, at Ravens, at Cleveland.

Chiefs - Chargers, at Ravens, Browns, Raiders.

It's hard to believe the chargers will beat the chefs. Stranger things have happened. We have to cat ch the Stealers.

Rivers is ill. Might miss First Game since 2006. 2006!!!
How many QBs had we as starters since 2006 ... I lost track ...
But of course he might miss his first game when we need him.

No bueno. Bills will turn the corner when they control their own destiny rather than relying in the fate of other teams.

I hate having to rely on the outcome of other games.

A Wild Card Playoff berth is what most of us signed up for, and that means dealing with the outcomes of other games.

We're in wild card territory.

Pittsburgh goes 3-1 in that stretch...10-6 overall
Chiefs go 4-0 in that stretch...11-5 overall

And nothing the Bills do matters.

If Pittsburgh's loss is to the Bengals and the Bills win out, then the Bills would own the tiebreaker. But yeah that's obviously unlikely.

Which tiebreaker do they own?

Both would be 10-6 and both would be 7-5 in conference. There's no head to head, since they don't play.

The Bengals beating Pitt tomorrow gives Pitt three divisional losses. Tiebreakers go:

1. Head to head
2. Conference record
3. Division record

That would be three division losses for the Steelers and if the Bills beat the Jets and end up with the same record as the Steelers, would subsequently give the Bills the tiebreaker edge.

No, that's wrong. Division record only comes into play if you're breaking a tie within the division. Tiebreakers for a WC spot between two teams from different divisions is:

Two teams
1. Head-to-head, if applicable.
2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four.
4. Strength of victory.
5. Strength of schedule.
6. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
7. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
8. Best net points in conference games.
9. Best net points in all games.
10. Best net touchdowns in all games.
11. Coin toss.

Dalton out with passing hand thumb injury..return questionable. CIN depleted in defensive backfield at game start. Not looking good for BUF hopes of a PGH defeat.

Nope.

Chiefs & Steelers & Jets win. Buffalo Bills lose.

Those of us that don't wear rose-colored glasses could see this from a mile away.
