The One Constant Thing in a World of Change is. . .

The mediocrity of the Buffalo Bills. Dreary season after dreary season, through mealy mouth coaches and loud mouth coaches, through GMs old and young, through a frugal owner to a free spending owner, through high first round picks and no first round picks, we continue to be monumentally mediocre.

You've heard of the Monsters of the Midway? Well meet the Bills, the midgets of the middle. Records ranging from 6-10 to the very occasional 9-7 are the norm. Our last playoff appearance goes back to the last millennium. Some teams excite. We exist.

The Bills are sometimes disappointing, ofttimes frustrating, occasionally the source of high expectations, but ALWAYS mediocre. For Bills' fans, April showers bring May crabgrass, Santa leaves us a pair of argyle socks, and every cloud has a dark and threatening lining.

Even teams worse than us - think Cleveland and Detroit, among others - rise up and make the playoffs once every decade or so. The last time we rose up to make a postseason appearance, the Music City Miracle put us into a miserable miasma of mediocrity. Where we remain to this sad day, almost 16 long years later.

As I watched yesterday's debacle, I drank several toasts (what else can you do, when being subjected to pure, unadulterated nothingness) to the Bills' MMF - the Most Mediocre Franchise in the NFL.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

It's so frustrating. This team is just good enough to "tease" us (although we know what will really happen) most years. You throw in the double whammy of being in the AFC East where they can't even stumble into the playoffs on accident once in awhile like the Browns or Lions (thanks NE!) and it just adds to our misery.

The wheels keep on spinning. Once again, Christmas football is meaningless except to hang out at the tailgate.

That's the biggest difference between us and a lot of these other teams that have slipped into the playoffs despite consistently floating around the middle. We lost, dropping us to 6-7 and all but eliminating us from the playoffs. Philly won, bringing them to 6-7 and putting them in first place in their division.

There is no freaking way that you thought this team , going in, was better than 6-10 maybe 7-9. What would have teased you then? The Jacksonville game? The shootout with New England? You had to be over the Colts game by week 5 and brought back to earth.

The only teasing going on is Rex's wife taking her shoes and socks off for him when he gets home after another charade presser.

            Same old same old.

We all knew this was going to happen. It was over after Kansas. Who honestly thought the Bills would run the table or finish 3-1 ??

You know what I also found "funny" .... how much the football gods just flat piss and laugh in our face. I mean even if we had won everything else that had to happen didn't

Jets lose ? Nah man they won. Fitzy keeps rolling unlike when he was here.
KC lose ? In your dreams Bills fan!
Pitt drops to Cincy. Oh hell no !! Bengals fan can thank us for Andy Dalton's injury
Oakland ? No shot you losers!
Heck now even Jax is almost on par with us.

Its amazing in all the wrong ways.

Kansas? It's messed up here in the US... There is a Kansas City , Kansas but the one that you refer to is in Missouri. Wouldn't mind seeing the Bills play Kansas in football.

                Yes.

I put tease in quotes for a reason.

the visual of the thong is far worse than pasties.... unless he has areola diameters of summer sausage.

At this point I don't know why any player or coach would want anything to do with this cluster****. Sure, drafted guys have no choice where they play, and there are only 32 HC gigs in the entire world, so I could maybe see a coordinator who has no other choices for an HC job coming here voluntarily. But as far as FA's or coaches with other options, there is no reason to get your hands dirty on this trainwreck of mediocrity.
