ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl got an upgrade Wednesday, moving this year's game from its traditional New Year's Eve to January 2, 2004.
The move will allow the game to take advantage of the opportunity to follow the Cotton Bowl and lead into the Fiesta Bowl. Only the Fiesta Bowl, Crucial.com Humanitarian Bowl and Sugar Bowl, which hosts this year's national championship game, will be played after the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
The game again will be nationally televised on ESPN, running unopposed in its time slot.
