GREENSBORO, Ga. (AP) -- John Swofford says Big East commissioner Mike Tranghese has apologized for his conduct during the Atlantic Coast Conference's recent expansion.
Swofford, the ACC commissioner, said Tranghese called and wrote a letter to say he was sorry for the way he acted before Miami and Virginia Tech bolted from the Big East to the ACC.
Swofford refused to say Tuesday what the two talked about or what the letter contained.
