All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Rapoport: Whaley More Likely to Be Extended Than Fired
Re: Rapoport: Whaley More Likely to Be Extended Than Fired
I'd like to know how a concept of 'working well together' with a head coach that very basically made the team far worse than the prior season qualifies as a positive.

Re: Rapoport: Whaley More Likely to Be Extended Than Fired
as many of Whaley's choices have been questionable i can't say i'm happy about this, that said he definitely has improved the talent on this team. In the dark days of Dick Jauron, you knew this team wasn't going to the playoffs or even going to sniff a winning record because the talent on the team was so poor (well, Dick Jauron was the head coach too, but still even vince lombardy would have struggled to get a winning record out of that talent less squad); even under Nix it wasn't great, as about all i can say for galley is he did a lot with almost nothing.
Since nix the talent level of the team has gone up fast, its to the point now where i'd say we're not inferior to most playoff teams, in fact i'd say we're superior in many positions. The problem now is we have a fat clown for a HC.
My wife told me that if I had a dollar for every girl who found me unattractive, girls would find me VERY attractive.
We're screwed if keeping Whaley means were hanging on to Rex for the life of his contract.
I think more so if it means we're counting on him to supply the trenches. He's all about spending big on shiny skill players. This is going to be a critical draft for the trenches or all the skill players in the world will just get us not much.

How are they "far worse", when the record will be pretty much the same?

At the end of last season the Bills had a top five Defense and a coordinator who knew how to use the personnel on that Defense.
At the end of this season, that unit has been decimated by a Head Coach, Coordinator and system that misused the same personnel. And the plan going forward is to stay the course.
The Offense is a raging mediocrity, basically a wash with last year's Offense.
The team has a total lack of leadership and is the least disciplined group in the NFL.
It's hard to believe, but this team actually took steps backwards from Doug Marrone.
