The Buffalo Bills lead the league in team rushing. And are 7-8.

Bills have rushed for 2,319 yards, the eighth-most in team history and most since 1992. First time since '95 they've gone for 200 back2back.

I guess the D regressing had nothing to do with 7-8. It's all about ground and pound.

Got it.

I'm not a huge fan of Roman given the stupid tricks that never work, but I guess when you look at it, they were 12th in scoring, which is better than 3 teams making the playoffs (GB, Minnesota and Washington) Granted Wash plays in the Short Bus conference, but still. I have to admit there have been some results. But, I'd still prefer all the coaches to get canned. I just don't think they will get there with those guys in place, especially Rex. Too undisciplined, and that's not going to change.

With a first year starter at QB, it's STUNNING they ran the ball.

What's your point there old man? You don't come across as the sharpest pencil. No one was criticizing them. Just posted a positive stat for the team. There aren't too many.

So you can crawl back under your rock at War Memorial Stadium any time now.

winning 16-6 isn't my idea of great football. I want Pitts offense....and the D can be avg.

Remember who the Pittsburgh OC is.

And we all see what ground and pound gets you?

Nowhere.

The O was suppose to be
a mess this year. It improved from what we had last year with a qb who has as much gamed at experience as a rookie qb.

I am not a fan of Roman but he improved the unit especially if we take into account what he inherited.

The D was suppose to be the one that was going to be top 4 or better. Instead it's the unit that's got more uncertainty going into next year

Roman seems like the last of the 3 coordinators who should be criticized. I'm a bit disappointed with the underproduction from Clay, but I'm not sure how much more could be expected from this offense with the injuries it sustained. If the D had not regressed to the extent it did, this offense would have been more than sufficient even with so many new offensiver players and staff members on the team. It wouldn't shock me to see these numbers being toted by neutral parties as something other than a footnote next season.

combine an unreliable passing game with a streaky running game and an o-line that can't go 10 plays without taking a holding or false start or some other dumb penalty, and you get an offense like ours.

fix just the penalties and i'm willing to bet our 3rd down conversion rate improves drastically, our streaky running game probably gets better and the passing game, which wouldn't be put in so many 3rd and 10+ situations would probably stabilize as well.

In my book the penalties from the o-line are the no1 problem with this offense.
