He should be in camp to learn the playbook, interact with teammates, get to know the coaches, etc. While his holdout will hurt us least, it's still a problem.

I've said before that I hope TD is not using the injury to negotiate a "special" contract. If we don't want to offer him a contract befitting a 23rd overall pick, we shouldn't have selected him there.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I'll start to worry sometime around 9/15.

Keep in mind. No contract does not imply a hold-out . . .
Still searching for that offensive rhythm.

Something will get done. The Bills want to protect themselves and Outhaus wants to get as much guaranteed money as possible. Guess what? McGahee at best will see what Nap Harris got last year, i.e. a long-term tiered-bonus deal. Threats of a holdout +/- re-entering the draft next year are idle at best, since no one will take McGahee higher than 23rd again, if even in the 1st round. I can't even remember the last time a player, healthy much less injured, re-entered the draft the following year. Anyone?

                  Exactly SABURZ!!!

I have no idea why anyone is even remotely concerned about McG's signing. We've signed all of our other rookies, right?

So who cares. If we need to rely on McG this season at any point, then it won't be a good thing. Either Henry/Gary will be playing poorly or they'll be hurt.

B/c if Henry runs the way most of us think he's gonna, to put in McG in week 10 or 12 would be a "kick in the stones" of Henry! It would be a complete DIS!

I'll start to worry around 9/15 too, but of '04!

If Henry continues to improve and do what he's doing, I'm fully content! I don't want to "rock-the-boat" just to take a huge gamble on "squeezing out a few extra yards" each season or risk worse!

Barring injury to Henry, would it hurt us at all?

We still got Gary who has ran behind Trey Teague (I think).

Don't forget, if McGahee doesn't sign with us this year he can re-enter the draft in '04, and maybe he would be selected in the top 5 and get much better money. However he would have to prove he is healed. Why not, he probably can't play this year anyway, he may be thinking why settle for 23rd money? But I think he will hold to his word and sign with us. I'm not worried now either, but I would be if half the season went by and nothing happened.
