I would feel terrible for Browns fans if that happened.

My God. The Browns put the D in Dysfunctional.

That's their best idea ?

I hope Schwartz does not follow Marrone to Browns.

Maybe... just maybe... Marone wasn't the problem.

maybe he had no tolerance for Russ Brandon and his little frigin stooge Whaley and his boy EJ Manuel and didn't care about telling them exactly that!

Considering the Bills would be in the playoffs this year with Doug as coach, hiring Doug would be good for the Browns.

I'm telling you, they're trying real hard to be us for some reason.

With EJ or Cassel as the starter LOL.
Doug quit because he knew he'd win 3-4 games this year. The only reason the Bills won more is because Rex had a line on Tyrod. Marone with no Tyrod would have been fired tonight.

I have to agree ej was not winning 10 games that is evident. So who would have been marrones qb?

EJ in a huddling no huddle slow speed quick snap offense for a mobile qb required to be a pocket passer intended to not stay in the pocket but not running under Boy Hackett.

The Bills lose today's game without EJ playing the play he did.

Why not? Browns fans deserve something good if they have to get the moron for a head coach.

or maybe moron was a terrible head coach and his defensive coordinator was the reason they won 9 games.

Nate Hackett can't be far behind.

Considering Detroit, Cleveland and Buffalo's histories maybe somebody should start testing the water in the Great Lakes. It can't be a coincidence.

I know its early 2016, but this could be the quote of the year.

Marrone goes to Cleveland. Acquires Nassib from the NYG.

Poor Browns fans.

I mean unless he brings Schwartz with him to save his ass like he did here he's gonna fail. I want to see that.

Yeah, and maybe that's why the guy actually wanted an extension for himself and his cronies and quit when he didn't get one, too.

I bet one of the first things he does will be to hire Nate Hackett as offensive coordinator wherever he goes, if hired. Even a Doug Marrone fan can't feel good about that, I would think. If he's lucky, he'll be able to land Schwartz again.

no question he and Whaley didn't get along, but as far as Russ Doucheface.. he was the one that seemed to have pushed the Marrone hire. Tha's my interpretation of events anyway

I actually think Marrone could succeed if he gets his way by ending up with a GM he can get along with. I'm pretty sure he didn't see eye to eye with Whaley on EJ and giving up drafts for Watkins.

The Browns job is quicksand for coaches. It's funny, they pity us and we pity them.

I'm not a Browns fan but I respect their fan base. It's a blue collar football crazy town which suffers as much as Buffalo does, so I can relate and wish them good things.

Marrone/Hackett/Manziel? Please God you cannot be that cruel to these good people.

Wasn't aware he was part of the medical staff.

Previous coaches I wish success to:

Mularkey
Chan
Even Dick Jauron

Marrone can suck an egg. The guy is a pure dick

How screwed up are the Brown that they covet former Bills coaches

Mr. Pink

I'd take Marrone and Schwartz in Cleveland, granted it would be more for Schwartz.

That defense needs a lot of work, especially from the coaching side.

If Schwartz does end up as part of the package, I would greatly prefer that be in Cleveland and not Miami.

I've seen the Browns have interest in Schwartz as a HC. Other guys are Teryl Austin, who interviewed here last year, and Adam Gase.

I have a feeling Marrone lucked out in getting Schwartz who liked the defensive talent here for revitalizing his career. I have a feeling Schwartz ends up in Miami next for the defensive line talent.

I think we've all seen these typical over the top hotheaded responses from you, Miyagi, and wonder why you can't learn to control your rage.

He would insist that the Browns give him an opt-out clause - like with the Bills. Can't fault him there. :kid:

I doubt it. If he quit on another team he'd never get another HC shot in the league. He has to know that.
