A few things stood out for me. First was the effect of the altitude on the NE defense as the game progressed. It makes a difference. In football and in hockey here.

Secondly I think Brady got hit something like 23 times, if I read right! That's never good for a QB.

Third was NE's pathetic rushing game. 44 yards!! Seriously!? Brady with their longest run of the day of 11 yards! wtf Brady or not, that's a recipe for a loss.
But in their defense they were missing their two starting running backs. Plus a few starting offensive linemen. and they still came close to beating Denver. #1 defense or not, those things definitely played to Denver's advantage. Denver was lucky they had home field. Injuries or not, had this been played in NE, I suspect NE would most likely have prevailed. That being said, the loss couldn't happen to a nicer team. lol
