Trying to bring down an 11+ mil cap number for Gilmore this year by extending him. Want to sign Tyrod long term before he hits FA and his price goes up (maybe).

He didn't provide links, but there are articles that show the Bills are working to extend Tyrod and Gilmore. If I wasn't at work I would link them.

I think a Tyrod extension is premature at this point, depending on the price/length obviously.

Truth behind both.
Links are wrong most of the time anyway!

Jason La Canfora (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/writer/jason-la-canfora/25497873/undeterred-by-their-cap-issues-the-bills-plan-is-to-keep-spending) writes that the Bills appear to be undeterred by their current cap situation and are instead planning to maintain and improve their team.
The Bills are reportedly aiming to retain both free agent LT Cordy Glenn (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GlenCo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-nfltraderumors.co) and G Richie Incognito (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/I/IncoRi20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-nfltraderumors.co) in the coming weeks.
While some reports have said that the Bills could be considering an extension for QB Tyrod Taylor (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/TaylTy00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-nfltraderumors.co), La Canfora reports that this is not in the cards for the Bills.
La Canfora fully expects Buffalo to cut veteran DE Mario Williams (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WillMa22.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-nfltraderumors.co) and free up around $12 million in the process.
Another player likely to be on the chopping block, according to La Canfora, is RB Anthony Dixon (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/D/DixoAn00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-nfltraderumors.co).
Buffalo could approach DBs Leodis McKelvin (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/McKeLe99.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-nfltraderumors.co) and Corey Graham (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GrahCo99.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-nfltraderumors.co) about restructured deals in the coming weeks, but probably won’t do anything to DT Kyle Williams (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/player_search.fcgi?search=Kyle+Williams&utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-nfltraderumors.co)‘ contract. According to La Canfora, signing CB Stephon Gilmore (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GilmSt00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-nfltraderumors.co) to an extension that would reduce his current $11 million cap figure is considered a “priority” for Buffalo. One free agent target proposed by La Canfora is Jets RB Bilal Powell (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PoweBi00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-nfltraderumors.co), but he is expected to have a decent market.
