    Tyrod's price just went up

It's a contract that will make Sam Bradford (and his agent) very happy. And a contract that will probably send many Philadelphia Eagles fans scrambling for the liquor cabinet...

Yes, the Eagles just gave Sam Bradford an $18 million average annual salary.

Damn, I'd be missing Chip Kelly right about now if I was a Philly fan.

Re: Tyrod's price just went up

A tyrod extension is tricky because the Bills probably don't want to get themselves into another buy high fitzpatrick type of contract. At the same time, if Tyrod does well next year the price tag will only go up.

Bradford just set a new standard for often injured starting qb's, where Taylor is likely headed.

The Eagles are rapidly becoming a train wreck.

Kirk Cousins us about to get paid too and only has one decent season. Tannehill sucks and he's getting paid. Nature of the beast.

I say let him play at least half the season before offering a deal anywhere near those numbers. And put it all on his shoulders to see if he's the man.

yep, anyone who thinks we're getting tyrod for less then 15mil per season is smoking some fine dope. looks like 18 mil is the min; personally i think cousins deal will set the ceiling on a tyrod deal. so sandwich it between bradfords and cousins.

The redskins have to be cussing out the eagles right now. I don't even think cousins was asking for 18mil/year, i guarantee he just upped his price.

apparently bottom tier starting qbs in the nfl are worth 18mil per season now. thank you philly for blowing up the market.

My wife told me that if I had a dollar for every girl who found me unattractive, girls would find me VERY attractive.

                      MY WIFE SAID THAT!!!

I wouldn't extend him now. Worst case scenario if you don't sign him, and he plays lights out: You franchise tag him.

Unless TT is willing to sign a 2-3 year extension at a reasonable price, I would let next season play itself out.

I would rather play this out until at least mid-season to make sure Tyrod can adjust to defenses that will be prepared for him.

When he shows that he is a QB with multiple solutions then we can pay him even if its a bit more than we would now.

Bradford has turned his Heisman winning Sophomore season into nearly $90 million so far, with another 20 or so to come.
