I heard about this. I didn't know these details about the workouts. I wonder what the post game workouts are like. never heard of such a thing. but my sense is that he's done. he's just not good enough and a window has certainly closed.

I once heard a story about rod brind amour who would work out for hours after a game. It got so bad with this work ethic, they would have to padlock the gym so he didnt kill himself.

I heard once that girgensons is the same way

It's gotta be tough to see the season winding down and his future questionable. I think the Sabres keep him though. They don't need another hole.

I haven't been able to watch much lately so I can't comment on this year, but Moulson really phoned it in at the end of last season. I went to a late season game against the Caps in DC where those asshats crushed us 6-1 and his lack of effort was appalling.

Don't get me wrong- I don't expect him to be a wrecking ball in a blowout loss at the end of a losing season. But maybe if he put more effort in from the puck drop, the score never would have gotten so lopsided.

What hole does he fill?

Basically just a spot on the bench.

Can we buy him out?

I think it would cost like $7M.

It goes against the cap. I'd rather keep him and stash him in rochester if they need
